This course covers a wide range of topics to prepare you for academic, industrial, and public sector roles
- Introduction to Statistics: Statistics Basics, Variables and types of data, Data Collection and introduction to sampling techniques.
- Descriptive Statistics: Graphs, frequency distributions, and descriptive measures on center and variability.
- Probability Distributions: Basics probability, Applications of Bernoulli, Binomial, Poisson, and Normal distributions.
- Inferential Statistics: Confidence intervals for the mean, hypothesis testing
- Regression and Correlation: Descriptive and inferential methods in correlation and simple linear regression
Evaluation & Certification
Participants will be assessed through
- Attendance: 80% minimum requirement.
- Continuous Assignments: 50% weightage.
- Final Examination: 50% weightage.
Successful candidates with an overall grade of C or above will receive a certificate from ISBE. Rasit options are available for improvement.
Eligibility Criteria
You are eligible if:
- You have completed A/L examinations, OR
- You have six months of work experience in statistics or related fields.
